Things are getting messy after Queen Hong’s little trip to the human world when divisions were created between the four guardians after she pulled rank and changed the rules. The Chaos continues into the depths of hell as both their princes being constantly absent are agitating the elders more and more. With so many people pulling on the threads of their destiny, the future of Dong-Young and Bi-Wal is more then a little foggy.

Main plot line…. what’s that? We’ve been shafted to following around the side characters again because some of them have started doing things that are important. Problem is that not all of them are relevant right now, but we’re stuck finding out what every single one of them is doing anyway. Normally I’m the kind of girl who loves to stray away from the story once in a while, but Angel Diary is easily eighty percent filler. Get to the point please! On a lighter note, with every character having an entire life of their own this series would make a pretty good anime.

And oh, Lee YunHee, what a twisted web you weave. Currently three plot lines are wrestling for their time in the spotlight and who knows which one will carry us all the way to the end. Bi-Wal is still the centre of all the action, and no one can really complain about getting more of Mr. Tall-Dark-and-Handsome, though it would be nice if he’d admit how totally in love with his brother he is so we could get some hot twin-cest going on here. Seriously, when a series wants to be yaoi as badly as this one does, people should really just let it. It would make the fans, and the characters happy. Win-win situation!

Somewhere along the line someone told me that this series has a tie in with Demon Diary, and this most recent plot twist has me wondering what it might be. I personally have never read Demon Diary so now it kind of feels like I’m being left out of some highly entertaining secret (but I have been assured that I’m not). The awesome artist team of Kara does both series, but the only obvious relation at this point, other then style, is that Ah-Hin is reading an issue of Demon Diary in volume five.

All the recent changes leave me completely unsure of what is going to happen next, and that is fantastic! Can’t wait to see what craziness goes down in the next volume, though I have to say, they better not all be blood-related, a favourite plot twist of recent manhwas.
